Want to broadcast? - it's simpler than you think!
 | First up, you don't need a high spec computer, anything built within the last few years will work. Here at Luton Live we're using a Zotac ZBOXSD-ID10-B Z-Box Dual Core Mini PC , consuming just 32 watts. |
 | Next you need to connect a camera. A USB webcam will do the job but it's biggest drawback may be cable length. To get around this, you can use a video capture device. On our Z-Box we are using a ridiculously cheap EasyCAP USB 2.0 Video and Audio Capture Card . |
 | Internet access is needed of course but the good news is that your broadband usage for the camera will be consistent regardless of how many viewers you have. This is because Luton Live and Ustream take care of the distribution. |
 | Ustream TV makes it quick, easy and free for you to broadcast. Sign into your Ustream account, click on "Your Shows", click on "Broadcast Now" - job done! Finally, to get your camera on Luton Live, copy the embed code from Ustream and send it to me, I'll do the rest. |
